Finally got our 2022 Apple TV 4K 128GB with Wi-Fi + Ethernet today. Shipment was delayed a bit, but that's probably because of the supply chain issues we been having.
The device itself is a little smaller than the previous generation Apple TV. It is definitely shorter in height. Apple decided only to have the network jack on the more expensive 128GB model. So be sure to get that one if you want your Apple TV to be hard wired to your network. The 64GB model only has WIFI and no Home Kit capabilities.
The remote pretty much looks the same. Solid construction like the previous one but big difference is this year's model you have a USB-C connection to charge the remote. Unfortunately, the recharge cable for the remote is not bundled and you will have to purchase that separately or use one that you already have to charge up the remote.
The unit itself is powered by Apple's latest A15 Bionic chip with 64-bit architecture. Supports 2160P @ 60 frames a second, Dolby Vision, HDR10+ and High Frame Rate HDR. Audio support is Dolby Digital Plus 7.1 Surround Sound and Dolby Atmos. Also the HDMI port is 2.1 and the Ethernet model is Gigabit Ethernet.
