I'm constantly adding more z-wave devices to my smart home. Most of the devices has been indoor with no range problems. I'm finding my way to the outside of my house and am finding that my device intermittently drops and does not make a solid connection to my Home Assistant server.
After looking around, I notice Zooz just came out with a range extender for Z-Wave users. I'm hoping that this little device can boost the range so I can start monitoring gates, door, and motion in different areas. In this video, I will be unboxing the device, pairing it to my home assistant and seeing how well it works. I will make another video to tell you how my experience is with the new Zooz range extender. Wish me luck :).
